Biography

Riccardo Ozzola received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees (both with honors) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florence, Florence, Italy, in 2017 and 2019, respectively. He earned the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), Delft, The Netherlands, in 2024.

He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at TU Delft. His research interests include the design of wideband phased arrays, the electromagnetic characterization of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, and the development of analytical and numerical methods in applied electromagnetics.

Dr. Ozzola was the recipient of the 2025 Per-Simon Kildal Award for the Best Ph.D. in Antennas and Propagation, awarded by the European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP). He was a Finalist for the Best Electromagnetics Paper Award at the European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP) in 2021 and 2024. He serves as a reviewer for the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation and the IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters.
