Tim van Haren
On November 2025 I joined the group and my home department is Electrical Engineering. My hobbies are all over the place, but some main ones are playing music (guitar), sports (snowboarding, surfing and skateboarding) and building hands-on projects. The projects range from welding metal sculptures to furniture making to repairing devices and machines. My research interests lie in data-driven techniques, signal processing and wavefield imaging. For my thesis I will work on a performance study into applying the Lanczos-method for model-order reduction. With my work I hope to advance the field by reducing the computational requirements for forward problems.
