MSc thesis project proposal

High-precision photodiode readout IC (Collaboration with 3ME TU Delft)

  • Low-cost sensors are needed to monitor plant health such as physio-chemical stress for agricultural applications. One way to do so is to employ a photodiode to detect the reflectance of leaves at 1120 nm optical wavelength. A silicon photodiode prototype will be fabricated by 3ME and a precision readout IC will be designed in this project. The readout IC should be capable of sensing low input current in the order of hundreds of pA with extremely low noise.
  • Financial support is available.
